A simple, straightforward analysis of your customer data might bring to light some surprising trends. AccuraCast's data extraction services can be used for two main purposes: extraction of data for further analysis ( data mining / multi-point analysis ) or elementary analysis of a database.

Data extraction for elementary analysis

We can extract relevant data from your customer databases and perform a simple analysis on the data to understand certain customer behaviours and answer some basic questions. Simple data extraction would typically be useful to identify customer segments with particular characteristics. An elementary analysis of extracted data might highlight simple characteristics such as cyclical trends in customer buying behaviour, or demographic characteristics of your customers. To gain a better understanding of customer characteristics, motivators and influences you would require a multi-point analysis of your customer data.

Data extraction for data mining / multi-point analysis

Companies wishing to fully understand their customers' needs, wants, motivators and influencing factors should undertake a multi-point analysis of their data. Before AccuraCast can analyse the data in depth, we might need to extract and often filter the relevant data from the database. This is an important part of the business intelligence process because it makes sure that the analysis is carried out only on good data and does not lead to misinterpretations or misrepresentations due to incorrect data or irrelevant entries.

This stage might reveal some useful customer insights, as mentioned above, but cannot be used as a substitute for comprehensive business intelligence. In fact, behaviours uncovered at this stage are often found to have much deeper lying motivators that can only be understood through multi-point analysis. More about data mining...
