An official announcement was sent out from Miva today, letting all advertisers know that they are suspending their Pay Per Call advertising program on the 5th of April 2007. The official communication was as follows:

Over recent months MIVA has unveiled a number of exciting Pay-Per-Click innovations. We’ve introduced our new vertical Pay-Per-Click network, the MIVA Precision Network, and have also launched our highly targeted InLine Ads which help further extend the reach for our advertisers.

As we continue to drive forwards with these new developments we have taken the decision to suspend our Pay-Per-Call product in the UK. This enables us to focus our resources more closely on our Pay-Per-Click product and will help ensure that we continue to lead the way in Pay-Per-Click innovation.

As an existing Pay-Per-Call advertiser, I wanted to let you know what this change means for you. Pay-Per-Call Ads will continue to be displayed, and you will still be able to access your account and manage any campaigns through the MIVA Ad Centre, until Thursday 5th April 2007. If you require campaign information after this date, you will be able to get this from your account manager or the Client Services team at: adsupport.uk@miva.com.

Any balances remaining in your account after 5th April will automatically be refunded onto your credit card. Our aim is to process all refunds within ten working days, however please note that the time it takes for the money to appear in your account will depend on your individual credit card company.

If you would like any further information on this please don’t hesitate to contact me. In the meantime, I’d welcome the opportunity to take you through our exciting new Pay-Per-Click tools and detail how they can help drive highly targeted traffic to your website.
