24.1% Use Firefox In Europe

Only 18% of UK Internet users use Firefox to browse the Web, but across Europe, usage of the Mozilla browser has risen to 24.1%, lagging behind only the Australian continent (Oceania).

Within Europe, Firefox enjoys over 40% market penetration in Slovenia and Finland and over 35% in Germany, Croatia and Slovakia. These numbers should cause some alarm to Microsoft as well as webmasters who don’t test their sites for accessibility compliance across multiple browser types.

Many websites render horribly wrongly on Firefox, even though they seem to be perfect on Internet Explorer. This means as much as 40% of a site’s visitors could be unable to use or even view the site correctly.
