Google Video Search Now Includes YouTube Results
26th January 2007
As of 25 January 2007, YouTube video results will appear in the Google Video search index. This is the first instance of the two entities working hand-in-hand since Google completed acquisition of YouTube for $1.65 Billion in November 2006.
When users click on YouTube thumbnails in the Google Video Search results, they will be taken to YouTube.com to view the videos. Google announced that over time, they intend to make Google Video even more comprehensive and evolve it into a service where users can search for the world’s online video content, irrespective of where it may be hosted.
