Microsoft Live Search Invades The Desktop Space

Microsoft have just announced the launch of two new gadgets for the Vista desktop. The Live Search gadget allows users to launch an Internet search query from their desktop without the need to open a browser.

A second gadget provides users traffic updates in a Vista desktop gadget, courtesy of Live Search Maps. Both of these new gadgets are in direct competition with recent updates provided by Google Search and Google Desktop.
