Windows Live Maps New Version With 3D

Add the AccuraCast News gadget to iGoogleApril 5th, 2007

Windows Live Maps has just released a new version with a lot of cool new features. Surprisingly, one of the big new features includes support for 3D mapping on Firefox! The full list of new features is:

  • 3D mapping on Firefox
  • Ratings and reviews for business listings. The reviews are fed from partner sites that already have lots of reviews.
  • “Find Nearby” suggested queries on a business listing’s details page
  • RSS feeds for user Collections (lists)
  • Area calculations for regions marked out on the map with drawing tools
  • Automatic display of traffic information when users create a route
  • Drag and drop reording of items on the Scratchpad
  • Once within a city map, users only need to enter an address name, without needing to re-enter city, state
  • 3D mapping in Outlook and support for Outlook 2007 , Vista
