Ask Mobile GPS Is Wicked!

23rd May 2007

While Ask is nowhere near being the most popular search engine nowadays, they sure seem to be trying! The number of cool features they have come out with in the past couple of months has been impressive. And their latest mobile GPS feature is a jaw dropper!

Ask Mobile GPS is a nifty piece of software that can be downloaded for a free 2-week trial, followed by a monthly subscription fee of $9.99 at:

The program includes GPS navigation, scrolling maps, citysearch reviews and evites. The most exciting feature, though is the location broadcast feature that allows users to share their location with anyone in their address book.

The Ask.com Official blog provides more information about Ask Mobile GPS, the next level of local search.

While these cool features will definitely turn some heads, they might not be enough to win Ask significant market share from any of the other major search engines. That said, the mobile search market is an open field right now, and anyone could emerge as the dominant player with the right combination of usability and price.
