Nokia Includes Mobile Search On Device

8th February 2007

Nokia Mobile Search now includes the capability to allow users to search for data stored on their mobile handsets. The new service is called My Device Search and is available as a free download for compatible Nokia devices.

The concept of mobile content search on the device is the same as desktop search for PC’s. Nokia’s My Content Search allows users to find content stored on their device, ranging from emails, text messages and calendar entries to videos and music files.

Launch of My Content Search makes Nokia the first provider to offer mobile Internet users the ability to search for local services, websites, images, and mobile content on the phone itself.
