PayPal Will Launch New Mobile Payment Service

26th March 2007

Ebay-owned PayPal is one of the world’s largest payment processing solutions. Users can currently process payments on PayPal via email, online and via text messages from their mobile phones.

PayPal has announced plans to launch a new mobile payment service, within this year, that will allow users to make payment from their Internet-enabled mobile handsets. Mobile friendly websites will now be able to allow users to shop online and even pay directly using PayPal from their wireless handsets. The system will most likely also be made available for use within Ebay storefronts and auctions.
