Worldwide Mobile Marketing Predicted To Reach $3 Billion by 2008
A mobile marketing and advertising study from ABI Research predicts that the worldwide market for mobile marketing and advertising will grow to about $3 Billion by the end of 2007.
The study further predicts the market to grow to $19 Billion by 2011, with the highest spend going into broadcast mobile video, which is predicted to account for almost 50% of total mobile marketing spend.
Agencies specialising in mobile marketing are gaining traction over traditional ad agencies in this field due to old-fashioned advertisers’ reticence to spending in new media formats in spite of the obvious advantages of mobile.
