If they hadn't waged that war, they wouldn't need to spend money on damage control. Either ways, now that it's done, rather than try to influence public opinion - face it no one's gonna believe the "world peace" bit coming from the USA - the US could perhaps spend that money on doing good where it will make a difference, e.g. Burma? @korien that’s a bit of a chicken & egg statement.
