Microsoft adCenter Bug Shows High CPC and Spend

26th February 2007

A bug in the Microsoft AdCenter platform last week caused some advertisers to get charged cost per clicks far higher than their maximum bid amount, and cost them a lot more than their budgeted spend.

Microsoft have acknowledged the bug and have fixed it. All overspend amounts will be credited back to the advertisers. They are currently investigating the cause of the bug and working out a way to recredit advertisers and get any paused accounts back live as soon as possible.
