Microsoft AdCenter new release in 2 months
23rd January 2007
Microsoft expect to release a new version of their AdCenter advertising platform in spring 2007. The new release is supposed to incorporate a lot of the features and services requested by their users and advertisers.
The first of the new services being offered is a Keyword Service Platform (KSP) that allows developers to link in to the keyword research and optimisation tool set via an API. Another cool new feature to be debuted in the spring is video links embedded within online video ads. More advertisers will also now be able to advertise on Microsoft’s content network.
Microsoft are also focussing a lot of time developing technologies to gauge content usefulness, user intent and content matching. This will allow them to deliver the right sort of content and ads based on the user’s search queries. For example, searches with the words buy, reviews or stores are more likely to convert than search queries with the words define or what is. Accordingly, the new generation of keyword research tools will help advertisers select high conversion keywords more easily, and let them bid higher on them.
