FeedBurner: Google’s Next Acquistion?
FeedBurner is a newsfeed management provider that provides custom RSS feeds and management tools to bloggers and other online content publishers. As of May 2007, FeedBurner hosted over 410,000 RSS feeds.
Acquiring FeedBurner will help Google identify spam blogs from genuine ones, based on the reader subscription numbers. Though this is just a rumour at present, the reasoning behind such a deal is pretty sound and the advantages to Google are obvious.
Rumour has it that Google will pay $100 million for FeedBurner. Whether any of this actually happens, will only be found out by waiting and reading the Search Daily News!
Other rumours flying around peg Yahoo! and Bebo together. Bebo is one of the largest social networking sites, and is extremely popular with younger Internet users. The Bebo - Yahoo! deal is rumoured to be worth a staggering $1 Billion.

It looks like there is some great info on the Confirmed Sale. It’s great to see a company like this be bought - I think google will be able to give it lots of great new features.
