RSS Snippets Added To Google Personalised Home

23rd January 2007

Visitors to the Google Personalised Home page – http://www.google.co.uk/ig – can now see short descriptions along with the RSS feed links.

In order to view the short snippet, users must click on the little button with the + sign, next to the link.

Descriptions are typically supplied by the RSS Feed provider, and have always been displayed on MyMSN. Google however only showed links in the past. This new feature is an improvement, giving users the choice to view further details before clicking on a link.
