By December 6, 2006June 9th, 2020No Comments

Windows Live Search has officially joined the mobile search race with the launch of the Live.com Beta for Mobile on 1st December 2006.

What Is Live.com Beta For Mobile?

Google and Yahoo! have had a significant presence in the mobile search and applications arena for some time now. Last week, Google further announced the launch of a special mapping service for mobile Internet users. Microsoft Live Search has now entered the field with the launch of Live.com for Mobile, albeit in beta.

Features of Windows Live Mobile

The current features of Windows Live Beta for Mobile are pretty limited, with the most popular feature likely to be Live Search for mobile. Not surprisingly, it comes with a rather impressive mapping system that runs faster than the ordinary live.com maps on mobile phones. The mapping application can be accessed at:

wls.live.com/

Other features currently available to mobile users include accessing their customised Live.com homepage and their subscribed RSS feeds, Windows Live Mail, Messenger, blogging and mobile enabled services such as weather, stocks and other Gadget content.

Dominance of the Mobile Search market is still open, but the race just heated up!
