Google has now launched the first version of their new Chrome OS Notebook. It is called Cr-48.

It has a 12.1 inch LCD display, with a full size keypad and touchpad.

The notebook gets booted in about 10 seconds and resumes instantly from sleep.

It has a built in Wi-Fi and 3G as well as Webcam for the convenience of the user.

It is fairly light weight and has about 8 hours of active usage, so users can easily use it even while they are traveling.

It is black in colour and has 100 MB of free data from Verizon Wireless.

One of the most noticeable features of this notebook is the absence of a ‘Caps Lock’ button. That space has instead been used for a ‘Search’ button, which is a feature that Google would definitely like to give more importance to.

Newer versions of Chrome OS notebooks can be expected next year from Acer and Samsung.
