UK’s leading cable company, Sky, has launched RSS feeds from their Sky News site. The initial offering is not very sophisticated in its promotion methods and even recommends users to download software rather than providing the option to view it on their personalised favourites or homepages.
The initial offering has feeds available for Sky News home, UK news, world news, business news and a quirky news section called “Strange But True”.
As the number of businesses and portals offering RSS feeds of their content increases, more and more users will become aware of the technology and start reaping the benefits of RSS, which can only be a good thing!
