Atomic Habits is today, the definitive book for changing your routines. But how does one develop a successful digital advertising strategy to build and then maintain sales of a bestseller years after its release?
Cornerstone, a division of Penguin Random House, partnered with Accuracast to build sales of the book to reach international bestseller status, and then maintain relevance long after its initial success, in a crowded genre.
The goal was to achieve, and sustain international bestseller status year after year, continually reaching new audiences.
Identifying key moments that drive personal change.
In Atomic Habits, James Clear provides a practical guide on how to change habits and get 1% better every day. The marketing strategy for the book focused on differentiating it from other books in the crowded self-help category.
The Accuracast team orchestrated a series of campaigns around key moments such as New Year and back-to-school, to reach new customers who would already have self-improvement on the mind.

Building on Growing Momentum with New Content.
Running several campaign iterations enabled our team to examine data on engagement, traffic, and book sales to identify real-time strategic enhancements and use learnings in the proceeding campaign phases.
With the launch of the Atomic Habits Workbook, we moved beyond broad prospecting by combining remarketing to highly engaged audiences and interest-based targeting around health, wellbeing, and fitness. This ensured our campaigns struck the most opportune moments and prevented audience overexposure.
Audiences insights also played a significant role in seasonal activations. By identifying audience segments most responsive to each seasonal campaign, Accuracast’s specialists boosted sales further.
