Just 12% “not concerned” about privacy
An independent survey we conducted of over 1,000 people has shown the remarkable extent of public concerns about their online privacy.
Despite recent efforts by the social media giants to make changes in policy and transparency, nearly 1/3 of people are concerned enough to say that they will use social media less.
AccuraCast’s MD, Farhad Divecha said in response to the survey: “We know that consumers are becoming more and more privacy and data savvy – this will only continue. What we should be seeing next is how social media platforms will respond so as not to scare away consumers, and also retain advertisers.”
